Who we are
By Grazina is the trading name of By Grazina Holdings (BGH). We buy independent hair salons across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we are the "controller" of the personal information described below.

What information we collect
When you get in touch. If you use our contact form, email us, call us or book a call, we collect what you give us: usually your name, email address, phone number, the name of your salon and anything you choose to tell us in your message.
If we've contacted you first. We may write to salon owners by post or email. For this we use business information that is publicly available, such as Companies House records and a salon's own website or social media: the owner's or director's name, the salon's name and its trading address.
As a conversation goes on. If we talk about a possible sale, we'll keep notes of our conversations. If you decide to go further, we'll also receive information about your business under a confidentiality agreement. That information is dealt with under that agreement as well as this policy.
When you visit this website. We don't use analytics or advertising cookies and we don't track you across the web. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and the pages requested), which are used for security and to keep the site running. We load our fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is sent to Google when a page loads.
How we use it, and why
- To reply to you and to have the conversation you've asked for. This is part of taking steps at your request, and it is in our legitimate interests to respond to enquiries.
- To contact salon owners about the possibility of buying their salon. Our legitimate interest is in finding salons to buy, and we only contact people in a business capacity. You can ask us to stop at any time, and we will.
- To keep records of our conversations and of who we have contacted, so that we don't contact people who have asked us not to, and to meet any legal obligations.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for anything unrelated to the above.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run our business, who handle information on our behalf: a customer records system (HubSpot), a booking service (Calendly), our email provider, and our website host (Netlify). Where it's needed, we may also share information with our professional advisers, such as solicitors and accountants, under a duty of confidentiality. We won't share your details with anyone else without your agreement, unless the law requires it.
Some of these providers are based outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards UK law provides for these transfers, such as the UK's data bridge arrangements or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as we're in conversation with you. If a conversation doesn't lead anywhere, we'll delete your details within 24 months of our last contact, unless you ask us to keep in touch or the law requires us to keep them longer. If you ask us to stop contacting you, we'll keep only your name and contact details on a "do not contact" list, so we honour that request.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that's wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- ask us to restrict how we use it;
- object to us using it, including to being contacted about a sale; and
- ask for the information you gave us in a portable format.

Complaints
We'd always like the chance to put things right first, so please contact us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
